Biography

Liam has been a member of the New Zealand Sevens team since 2002, when he made his international debut at the age of 18 at the IRB Sevens tournament in Dubai. He took over as captain of the national side at the age of 20 in 2004 and in the same year was named New Zealand Sevens Player of the Year. In 2005 he led New Zealand to the final of the IRB Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament in Hong Kong.
