Biography

EVENT: Boxing - Super Heavyweight

Michael Kenny, from Wellington, represented New Zealand in the 91kg boxing event at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, where he was eliminated in Round 2 by Ugandan Dodovic Owini. 

Kenny later achieved significant success, winning the gold medal in the men's super-heavyweight (+91 kg) division at the Auckland 1990 Commonwealth Games. Additionally, he earned 15 gold medals at Oceania championships and claimed numerous international titles.
