EVENT: Men’s Rugby 7’s

Sam Dickson is an established member of the All Blacks Sevens, making his debut in Dubai in 2012.

Dickson graduated through the Canterbury Rugby academy and also represented New Zealand in Aussie Rules before switching focus to sevens.

Dickson has been a key ball winner for the team at kick off, showing great strength and agility, and is relentless on defence.

He became just the sixth All Blacks Sevens player to play 50 tournaments in the team's victory in Cape Town in 2019.

Dickson missed out on the Tokyo Olympic Games with injury but returned to captain the team in 2022. At Commonwealth Games level he has won gold at Gold Coast 2018, silver at Glasgow 2014 and bronze at Birmingham 2022.
