Squire 10th in diving

New Zealand’s Maggie Squire finished 10th in the final of the women’s 1m springboard diving.

Squire totalled 232.60 points. Mia Valley of Canada won the gold with 291.85 points. 

The New Zealander had three solid dives but was let down somewhat by her back 1½ somersaults in pike position and her reverse 1½ somersaults in pike position.

In the men’s 10m platform synchronised diving, which drew six entries, New Zealanders Arno Lee and Luke Sipkes finished at the tail of the field with 328.71 points. The winners were English divers Noah Williams and Matthew Lee with 429.78 points.
