Biography
Whangarei swimmer Ciara Smith will contest the 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke in the Bahamas.
Ciara won all three breaststroke events at the 2017 National Age Group Championships, claiming the top podium spot in the 50m, 100m and 200m divisions.
The Northwave Swim Club member won silver in the girls 16 years and under 100m and 200m breaststroke at the 2017 Australian Age Championships.
Ciara has equalled the NZ Age Group record in the 16 year girls 50m breaststroke in a time of 32:33.
She will be 16 at Games time.
