Daniel Hoy

16-year-old Daniel will be representing New Zealand in Triathlon at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. He is a student at Westlake Boys’ High School and began competing at the end of 2011. So far, Daniel’s sporting highlights have been placing 2^nd at the Oceania U23 Triathlon and setting the NZ track and field 1500m record. Daniel’s favourite quote is, “Pain is temporary, pride lasts forever.”
