Biography
David is a 18-year-old student of Spotswood College in New
Plymouth that will represent New Zealand at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic
Games.
How did you get into your sport? I started because friends were playing, I
wasn’t good but I just kept going along and training with them and I got better
and better.
What do you love about the sport? I love the travel and everything about
the sport. The strategy is really cool, it gets me thinking and the fitness is
great as well.
What inspires you? I’m quite competitive so I want to be the best and
that’s what drives me.
Career highlight: Competing in China at the U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships, also travelling to the US for the New Zealand development tour in 2017.
