Biography

Dean is the veteran of the team attending his third Olympics. He first represented New Zealand at the Pan Pacific Games in 1999. He was a silver medalist in 200m IM at Melbourne Commonwealth Games and finalist at the World Championships in 2007. He was a finalist over 200m and 400m IM at World Short Course Championships this year, and national record holder over both distances, breaking the 200m mark at the Olympic Trials.
