Debbie Tanner is one of the new generation of triathletes and is proud to be one of the first to come through the New Zealand system from the Weet-Bix Tryathlon to elite performer on the world stage.
Tanner’s breakthrough performance came with victory at the 2006 Ishigaki ITU BG World Cup event. The Auckland athlete has since put together a consistent record of podium and top ten performances at major events worldwide.
Tanner’s diminutive stature belies her strength in all three disciplines but in particular Tanner has great leg speed and if in contact off the bike is a threat in any race and in any conditions.
