Biography
Christchurch swimmer Hannah Bates will contest the 200m backstroke, 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly, 200m individual medley and 400m individual medley in the Bahamas.
Hannah is ranked second in the girls 16 years and under 400m individual medley from performances at the 2017 National Age Group Swimming Championships.
The Christchurch Girls High School student has competed internationally, winning gold in the girls 16 years and under 400m individual medley, as well as silver in the girls 200m individual medley at the 2017 Australian Age Championships in Brisbane.
She will be 17 at Games time.
