Hannah O'Connor

Biography

Hannah O’Connor will contest both the 1500m and 3000m in the Bahamas.

The New Plymouth Sacred Heart Girls' College student was the stand out performer at the 2016 New Zealand Secondary Schools Track, Field and Road Race Championships.

In the 3000 metres she broke a national secondary schools record which had stood for 32 years with a time of 9min 32.89sec, 15 seconds faster than the previous record.

Hannah also won gold in the 4km road race and the 1500m and was named junior athlete of the meet. She will be 16 at Games time.
