Biography

Tokyo 2020 was Marisa’s first Olympic Games.

The fullback was a member of the Young Football Ferns side that won bronze at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay - the first New Zealand team to win a medal at a FIFA event.

Marisa, yet to make her senior Football Ferns debut, was first called into the squad in March 2020 for the Algarve Cup. The Cantabrian has played a key part for the Canterbury United Pride in New Zealand’s top tier women’s competition. The physiotherapy student is part of the Future Ferns Development Programme in Auckland.
