EVENT: Weightlifting Women's 71kg

Birmingham 2022 was Megan Signal’s first Commonwealth Games.

Signal was selected for the Tokyo Olympic Games and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games but was unable to compete at both events due to injury.

Signal started weightlifting in 2013 after finding the sport through crossfit. She is the current NZ record holder of seven records. She also holds two Oceania records in the 71kg class - snatch and total.

Megan's hometown is Matamata but she is now based in East Tamaki, Auckland.
