Nathaniel Moore

18-year-old Nathaniel will be representing New Zealand in Beach Volleyball at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. Nathaniel attends Mount Maunganui College and plays for the Mauao Volleyball Club. He started competing in year nine at the 2010 North Island Indoor Volleyball Championships. Nathaniel says that his sporting highlight so far has been qualifying for the Youth Olympic Games “…Iran had three match points to knock us out, but we fought back to win the games.” He states that his role models are people who give it their all and never give up. His favourite song is “I see fire” by Ed Sheeran and his favourite quote is, “Pain is weakness leaving the body.”
