Sarah Walker (IOC Member, OLY#1101)

Sarah Walker is a two-time Olympian, competing in BMX Racing at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics. She placed fourth in Beijing and won a silver medal in London.

As New Zealand Olympian #1101, Sarah is also an elected member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), where she helps oversee the Olympic Movement, ensuring the promotion and protection of the Olympic Games and their values.

Since 2016, she has served on the IOC Athlete’s Commission, and also inspires young New Zealanders as an Olympic Ambassador and is a graduate of the NZOC Wahine Toa Programme.

 Outside of sport, her expertise is in technology and AI, as well as gaming and e-sports.
