Barfoot & Thompson backing the New Zealand Team through to 2028

Barfoot & Thompson has reaffirmed its commitment to New Zealand athletes, extending their partnership with the New Zealand Team as the official real estate partner through to 2028. 

The renewed agreement will see New Zealand's largest privately-owned, non-franchised real estate agency, continue to support athletes on the world stage across multiple Olympic, Commonwealth, and Youth Games.

Barfoot & Thompson, established in 1923, has a rich history of supporting community initiatives and sporting events throughout Auckland, Northland and the Bay of Plenty, this partnership reflects their passion for sport and dedication to the country’s sporting success.

Barfoot & Thompson Managing Director Peter Thompson said he was proud to continue his company’s long-standing support of the New Zealand Team.

“Sport is an integral part of Kiwi culture, and after an incredible Games campaign in Paris last year, we knew we wanted to extend our partnership with The New Zealand Team through to 2028,” said Thompson.

We believe in the power of sport to inspire, unite, and build strong communities, and we look forward to supporting New Zealand athletes as they strive for excellence on the world stage,” he said.

New Zealand Olympic Committee CEO Nicki Nicol welcomed the renewal, acknowledging Barfoot & Thompson’s ongoing contribution to the success of the New Zealand Team.

“Their commitment to our team extends beyond sponsorship, it’s about connecting athletes with the community, celebrating success, and ensuring our athletes feel the backing of New Zealanders as they represent our country.
