Paris Chin and Havana Hopman gave a good account of themselves when the rhythmic gymnastics competition opened and both qualified for the all-round final.
Hopman was placed 16th in the all-round category after the first day of the rhythmic gymnastics, and Chin 17th.
The top 16 qualify for the all-round finals, but only two from each country, which allowed Chin to slip in as well.
In addition, Hopman grabbed the eighth and final qualifying position for the clubs final – in the individual apparatus only the top eight qualify.
