Kiwi shooter takes silver at Commonwealth Games test event

Rio Olympian Chloe Tipple has produced a strong showing as she familiarised herself with the shooting facilities for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The 26 year old won silver at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championship which was run as a test event for the Commonwealth Games at the Belmont Shooting Centre.

The Christchurch athlete shot 69/75 for her second placing with Amber Hill of England winning gold and Aislin Jones of Australia taking bronze.

“It was an awesome competition and I got some great completion. All three of us were at Rio together, so it was a great way to finish the season.”

Tipple also shot in the Oceania Games, winning bronze.
