Luca landed the right-side triple cork 1980 but a slight rotation once he hit the snow cost him points. A very impressive effort in a final where gold medallist Tormod Frostad (NOR) came away with an almost perfect score of 195.50 out of a possible 200

Luca couldn't hold on to the landing of the right-side triple cork 19 on jump 2, so will be relying on his third and final jump for a top score.

Luca absolutely nailed the switch right-side triple 1980, getting huge amplitude, looking super controlled in the air, adding a double grab to up the difficulty score, and landing nice and deep at the bottom of the jump. His score of 94 gets him off to a great start. Now he needs to back it up on the next two runs.

Just a slight delay to the start of this event - Luca Harrington is all set to compete in the Big Air Final.

Despite all efforts, unfortunately the persistent snow has meant the Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle Final is postponed.
More info to come after a 5am (NZT) meeting tonight.
Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Coach Sean Thompson still in good spirits, a chance for a few quick hits in the snow!
