Ben saves best for last, finishes 9th

Ben saved the best for last, cleaning up his run and landing a score 73.75 on run three. He finishes his day in ninth place. Awesome effort, Ben!

Throwaway run for Harrington on second attempt

Ben started strong with good amplitude and execution on his first hit, but landed too low on his second trick and didn't complete the rest of his run. He's currently in 7th place. Third and final run coming up.

Harrington one of only two athletes to land a clean first run

Ben has the first run in the bag with a score of 61.25. Great trick variety, he'll be looking to clean up execution in his next run. Competitors have three runs to earn their top score. Only Harrington and Canada's Andrew Longino have landed full runs so far.

Men's Freeski Halfpipe final starting at 7.30am

Ben Harrington is fired up and ready to go. He'll be first of the finalists to drop in for his run. Go Ben!

Clean runs needed on run two

Ben leads the Kiwi contingent after putting down a clean first run - currently in 9th. Luke went big with back-to-back 1620s but lost points for not getting a clean landing - currently in 11th. Fin and Gustav both lost a ski on their first runs and will be looking to run two to show the judges what they've got.

Men's Freeski Halfpipe starting 10.30pm

Our Freeski athletes are ready to go. Fin Melville Ives will be the first competitor to drop into the halfpipe, Luke Harrold 9th, Ben Harrington 15th and Gustav Legnavsky 17th

Ben Harrington through to Freeski Halfpipe finals

Ben has finished in 12th place and will be back in action for the finals at 7.30am Saturday morning NZT. Gustav landed a clean second run to finish 14th, just missing the cutoff. Luke was very unlucky to lose a ski on his very last trick and miss out on a qualifying spot.

All our support to Fin as he’s checked over after a heavy crash on his second run.
