Raglan's skilled surfer Billy Stairmand loses out in elimination round against two-time world champion Filipe Toledo from Brazil. Billy surfed a great heat scoring an 8.17 deep opening wave
Surfer Saffi Vette has been eliminated, after being beaten by Portugal's Yolanda Hopkins in Round 2.
Erika Fairweather has swum her way into the Women's 200m Freestyle final after finishing seventh overall in the semi finals with a time of 1:56.31.
The Women's NZ Sevens have put together a dominant performance against Canada, running away with a 33-7 win.

Lewis Clareburt has finished sixth in the Men's Individual Medley final, with a time of 4:10.44. Frenchman Leon Marchand won the gold medal in 4:02.95, securing a new Olympic record.
The New Zealand Women have been defeated 2-0 by Colombia in their second match of Group A, with a goal in each half sealing the result.

The New Zealand Men have been defeated 2-1 by defending Olympic champions Belgium. After going down early, the Kiwis levelled the score in the 43rd minute before Belgium scored again from the restart to regain a one goal lead they were able to protect until the final whistle.

The Women’s NZ Sevens have opened their Paris campaign with a convincing 43-5 win over China, ignited by Michaela Blyde who scored four tries - equalling the Olympic record.

Luuka Jones has missed out on a medal in the Women's K1 Slalom. She finished her run in a time of 102.33, finishing in eighth place overall. Australian Jessica Fox won the gold medal with a time of 96.08.
Isaac McHardie and Will McKenzie lead the Men's Skiff (49er) overall after three races today. The duo won the first race, then placed third and eighth.
It was a tough day on the water for Jo Aleh and Molly Meech who currently sit 20th overall.
The New Zealand Women are underway in their Group A match against Colombia in Lyon.
Lulu Sun has dropped her first Women's Singles match, defeated 6-4 6-3 by Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk.
"I had my opportunities, especially in the first set so there's a bit of disappointment there. I tried to go in and give my all. It's pretty amazing to play against a top 20 player at the Olympic Games."

Jo Aleh and Molly Meech open their campaign with a 15th place in the first of three Women's Skiff (49erFX) races scheduled for today. A mid-fleet finish in very light conditions for the veteran pair.
Clarke Johnstone and Menlo Park have completed the Cross Country stage.

The Men's Four have cruised into the final with a dominant win in their heat - crossing the line in 6:03.08.
The Women's Four have progressed to the final after a second place finish in their heat - crossing the line in a time of 6:45.44.
Erika Fairweather progresses to the Women's 200m Freestyle semi finals after finishing second in her heat with a time of 1:56.54. The result sees her seventh overall in the heats with the top 16 going through.
Kane Fellows has swum a 55.01 time, finishing second in his Men's 100m Backstroke heat. Fellows finishes 33rd overall in a large field, missing out on the semi finals.
The Women's Lightweight Double Sculls team of Shannon Cox and Jackie Kiddle are through to the semi finals after winning their heat with a time of 7:02.25.
Lewis Clareburt has finished fourth in his 400m Medley heat with a swim of 4:11.52. The result sees him sixth equal fastest overall, qualifying for the final.

The Women's Pair of Kate Haines and Alana Sherman will race in the repechage after finishing fifth in their heat with a time of 7:43.56.
The sun is out in Paris as we get set for a big day ahead for the Kiwis. First up we head to Vaires sur Marne Nautical Stadium for the rowing with our coxless pairs in action from 8:30pm (NZT).
