Women's Football: NZ defeated by France

The New Zealand Women have been defeated 2-1 by hosts France in their final Group A match in Lyon.

Sailing: 49er crews qualify for medal race

The Men's Skiff (49er) crew of Isaac McHardie and William McKenzie currently sit in third place overall after 12 races, and will race for a medal tomorrow.

The Women's Skiff (49er) of Jo Aleh and Molly Meech are seventh after 12 races, having also qualified for the medal race.

In the Windsurfing, Josh Armit sits in fifth place after 10 races while Veerle ten Have is eighth after 11 races.

Galloway seals new NZ Olympic record

Melissa Galloway has etched a new NZ Olympic record in the Dressage Grand Prix on Windermere J'Obei, seventh in Group G with 68.913% in her Olympic debut.

Hayden Wilde wins Silver in Men's Triathlon

Hayden Wilde has won the silver medal for New Zealand in the Men's Triathlon!

Dylan McCullough put together a great performance in his first Olympics to finish 19th overall.

First Transition:
McCullough 15th - 21:27
Wilde 29th - 22:03

Bike Update:
Wilde and McCullough are chasing down the front cycle group to try and narrow the gap.

Bike Update:
McCullough and Wilde and currently sitting in 19th and 20th respectively

Chase group is closing in! Wilde leading the charge.

The gap is closed and both kiwis now in the lead group!

Second Transition:

Wilde immediately gets into 2nd position on the run!

It's a Wilde v Yee battle up front!

We need to make mention of the incredible effort of McCullough, what a bike ride from him and a final placing of 19th at his first Olympic Games.

The Women's Lightweight crew of Jackie Kiddle and Shannon Cox have progressed to the A Final after a blistering semi, placing 2nd,

Rowing Update - Men

Ready to go in the A/B semi finals! Let's go New Zealand!

Men's Pair of Daniel Williamson and Phillip Wilson have placed 4th in their semi-final with a time of 6:32.77. Not quite enough to make the A final and will compete in the B Final.

Women's Triathlon Updates

And they are off! Nicole Van de Kaay and Ainsley Thorpe have started the swim leg. We will update this section for the entire race.
