Swimming: Fairweather eighth in 800m final

Erika Fairweather has finished eighth in the Women's 800m Freestyle final with a time of 8:23.27.

Katie Ledecky (USA) won the gold medal in a time of 8:11.04.

Athletics: Walsh, Gill outside Shot Put medals

Jacko Gill has finished seventh overall in the Men's Shot Put final, with a longest attempt of 21.15.

Tom Walsh closed his Olympic campaign with three no marks after suffering an injury on his second attempt.

Ryan Crouser (USA) won the gold medal with 22.90.
