Mau'u has to settle for bronze

Big-hitting Uila Mau’u lost his superheavyweight boxing semi-final, but still guaranteed himself a bronze medal.

Mau’u was comprehensively beaten by the aptly-named English boxer Delicious Orie, who certainly revealed a tasty range of skills.

Orie was wary of the New Zealander’s power after the previous fight, in which Mau’u knocked out his opponent with one well-struck right.

But through speed of hand and foot, the Englishman stayed out of trouble and picked off Mau’u almost at will.

All five judges gave every round to Orie.
