Skeet shooter struggles

Chloe Tipple has the job ahead of her in the women’s skeet shooting.

The skeet comprises three qualifying rounds on the first day, followed by two on the second day, after which the top six shooters move into the final.

Tipple shot 23, 22, 20 today. Her total of 65 leaves her 28th in the 29-strong field.

The 33-year-old Christchurch shooter is an experienced Olympic performer, having finished 13th in Rio in 2016 and 27th three years ago.

She described her opening day today as “not a good day in the office”.
