Stoddart rises to the occasion
Daniel Stoddart mixed it with some of the Commonwealth's best gymnasts and more than held his own.

The 23-year-old Hibiscus Coast gymnast finished seventh in the rings with a score of 12.866. The winner was Canadian Felix Dolci with 13.766. Digging deeper, it was notable that the New Zealander scored second-best of the top eight finalists for the way he executed his routine.
When combined with his 12th place in the all-around section, Stoddart has had an excellent Games and proudly carried the flag for New Zealand men's gymnastics.
He was understandably delighted with how he handled the finals-day pressure.
'The way I’ve managed to come back from a not perfect qualification round ... I’m proud of how I came back strong.'
He said he was still feeling electric from the vibes in the arena, and loved being part of the big occasion.
