TCL Electronics: bringing the Games closer to Kiwi fans

TCL Electronics has been announced as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, joining the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) prestigious TOP Programme through to Brisbane 2032.

As the exclusive global partner in the Home Audiovisual Equipment and Home Appliances category, TCL will play a key role in powering the Olympic and Paralympic Games experience for athletes and fans across the world.

This global agreement includes marketing rights in all territories, including New Zealand, allowing TCL to connect Kiwi fans with the Olympic spirit through campaigns, storytelling, and the latest in smart home technology — across upcoming Games including Milano Cortina 2026, Los Angeles 2028, and Brisbane 2032.

James Keene, Country Manager for TCL New Zealand, said:

“TCL is proud to stand behind the Olympic Movement and bring that energy to New Zealand audiences. The values of high performance, innovation and inspiration are deeply aligned with our brand. Through our technology and campaigns, we’ll help Kiwi fans experience unforgettable Olympic moments — right from their living rooms.”

As part of the TOP Programme, TCL will support initiatives such as Athlete Moments, helping athletes connect with loved ones after competition, and contribute to the IOC’s Olympic AI Agenda and sustainability goals.

Nicki Nicol, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, said:

“It’s great to see TCL signed on with the IOC through until the Brisbane 2032 Games. We’ve seen how far fan experience and technology integration in global sport has come over recent years so we’re excited to see what TCL can do to elevate and enhance those special Olympic moments we’ll no doubt experience in upcoming Games campaigns.”

The IOC’s agreement with TCL also enables support to be distributed to International Federations and National Olympic Committees around the world — including the New Zealand Olympic Committee — reinforcing TCL’s commitment to the global sporting community.

Founded in 1981 and operating in over 160 countries, TCL is committed to building a sustainable and connected future through advanced technology — and now, through the Olympic Games, will help inspire greatness for a global generation.
