Women's basketballers on fire
The New Zealand women's 3x3 basketballers got their Games off to a great start with a decisive 22-6 victory over Papua New Guinea.

Eva Langton, Sharne Pupuke-Robati, Azure Anderson and Ella Fotu played a fast-paced game that frustrated and then bewildered the Papua New Guinea team.
New Zealand wrapped up the game with three minutes remaining.
Pupuke-Robati sank two of her five two-point attempts, shot well closer to the basket and was very active. Langton, Anderson and Fotu all had their moments.
The New Zealanders kept up the good work shortly after when they returned to the court and comfortably beat Tonga 21-8. After opening a 7-0 lead, the New Zealand women were never pressed.
Pupuke-Robati was again the chief scorer with 10 points, including three two-pointers. Fotu had six points, including two two-pointers. It was a good all-roound team performance, full of pace and attacking intent.
New Zealand finished off an excellent day's work by beating previously unbeaten England 21-12. They now head their group.
