PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITION
(1) The Gala Diamond Activation Promotion (Promotion) is promoted by New Zealand Olympic Committee Incorporated (Promoter).
(2) Information on how to enter the Promotion and the Prize on offer form part of these terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions), which set out the requirements for the Promotion. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Winning the Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all of the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
ELIGIBILITY
(3) Entry is only open to attendees at the New Zealand Team Gala held on Thursday 15th October 2026, aged 18 years of age and over that comply with the entry instructions described in these Terms and Conditions (Participants).
(4) Employees (and their immediate family members) of NZOC, Diamond Lab and Villa Maria Estate are ineligible to enter.
PROMOTION PERIOD
(5) The promotion period starts at 6:00PM and closes at 9:30PM on 15th October 2026 (Promotion Period).
(6) No entries will be accepted outside the Promotion Period.
HOW TO ENTER AND DRAW DETAILS
(7) To be eligible to enter, Participants must make a donation of NZ$100 to the Gala fundraising diamond activation fund at the Villa Maria bar at the NZ Team Gala during the Promotion Period.
(8) At the time of donation, Participants will receive a champagne flute and an entry ticket to go into the diamond activation draw.
(9) Multiple entries per Participant are permitted up to a maximum of ten. A total of 131 entry tickets is available for this Promotion.
(10) All valid entries received during the Promotion Period will automatically be entered into the Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place at 9:30PM at the NZ Team Gala held on 15th October 2026.
(11) The first valid entry drawn randomly from the entries received during the Promotion Period will win the Prize. The Winner will be announced during the NZ Team Gala immediately upon the draw taking place.
(12) The Winner must be physically present at the NZ Team Gala in order to claim the Prize. The Winner has until 10.00PM to claim the Prize.
(13) The Promoter may arrange to draw additional reserve entries from the remaining entries and record them in order, in case a winning entry is deemed invalid, or the Prize is unclaimed.
PRIZE
(14) There is 1 (one) Prize to be won.
(15) The Prize consists of 1 (one) diamond and its accompanying certification document provided by Diamond Lab, with a retail value of NZ$2,000 (including GST).
(16) The Prize comprises a loose diamond only. No setting, mounting or other jewellery is included.
(17)The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Winner accepts the Prize as awarded and acknowledges that the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.
PRIVACY
(18)The Promoter may collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. Personal information collected pursuant to the Promotion from Participants will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and will be subject to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be accessed here. All Participants’ details will be collected and held by the Promoter only for the purposes of this Promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purposes of processing and conducting the Promotion). By entering the Promotion, Participants consent to the use of their information as described under the Privacy Policy.
GENERAL
(19) The Promoter will use its best endeavours to provide the Prize listed. If the Prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equivalent value.
(20) By entering the Promotion, unless otherwise advised, the Winner agrees to being included in any media or publicity in relation to the Promotion, without additional compensation.
(21) The Promoter and its related affiliates, employees and agencies shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered by any person in connection with this Promotion, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
(22) Any costs associated with entering the Promotion or associated with the use of the Prize are the responsibility of the Participants.
(23) Participants have rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which cannot be excluded or limited by the Promoter. These Terms and Conditions do not intend to exclude or limit those statutory rights in any way. However, to the extent it is permitted by law to do so, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, under laws other than the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 regarding the quality or suitability of the Prizes as part of this Promotion and will not be responsible for breach of such representations or warranties.
(24) The Promoter and any other agencies associated with this Promotion will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to technical problems. Entries are deemed to be received at time of receipt by the Promoter’s database and not at the time of transmission by the Participant. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.
(25) If for any reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, for reasons including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
(26) Any cancellation, termination, modification or suspension of the Promotion will be notified on the Promoter’s website.
(27) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the use of the Prize. It is the responsibility of each Participant to seek independent advice on the possible implications this may have on their own financial situation.
(28) If all or any part of any term or condition contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be declared or become unenforceable, invalid or illegal for any reason, such term or provision (or part thereof) shall be deemed severed from these Terms and Conditions to the extent of the unenforceability, invalidity or illegality and the Terms and Conditions hereof shall remain in full force and effect as if the offending term or provision (or part thereof) had not been inserted herein.
(29) The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding on every person who enters, and no correspondence will be entered into.
(30) Be entering this Promotion, Participants agree to release Meta Platforms, Inc or associated entities of any liability or obligation related to the entry and Participants acknowledge this Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc or associated entities.
