Augustine Pulu

New Zealand Olympian: 1337

Biography

It has been a lightening rise in the world of Sevens for the former All Blacks halfback. Pulu made his debut for New Zealand at the season opener in Dubai in 2015 and followed that up with a player-of-the-tournament performance at the National Sevens where he helped Counties Manukau to the national title.

A powerful and energetic player who is a constant threat, with the ability to challenge consistently and create space for others. His form for the Chiefs in 2014 saw him elevated to the All Blacks that year where he earned two caps.

He is an old boy of Wesley College, a breeding ground for many a great rugby player.

Rio 2016 was the first Olympic Games for Augustine.
