Ben Langton Burnell

Biography

Ben represented New Zealand at the 2017 World Championships in London, finishing 24th. Last year he also competed at the World University Games in Taipei, finishing eighth.

Ben also represented New Zealand at the 2010 and 2011 Oceania Championships winning silver and gold respectively.

Ben had a breakthrough year in 2017 throwing over 80m for the first time at the Porritt Classic in Hamilton and then improving his personal best to 82.44m.

Ben also won first NZ Senior title in 2017 after finishing runner up for four years. He won three junior New Zealand titles in the Javelin.

Ben trains with coach Debbie Strange in Hamilton and is a member of the Palmerston North Club.
