Para athlete Bruce Wakefield is a Commonwealth Games silver medallist.
Gold Coast 2018 was the first Commonwealth Games for lawn bowler Wakefield who claimed silver in the B6/7/8 open triples (alongside Barry Wynks and Mark Noble).
He won the 2016 New Zealand Disabled Championship Singles Title and the 2017 New Zealand Open Triples Pairs titles.
Bruce’s hometown is Timaru but he's currently living in Christchurch where he's coached by Graeme Rees.
