Biography

Beijing 2022 will be Bilous’ second Olympic Winter Games.

He will be representing New Zealand in freeski slopestyle and participating in the freeski big air event.

Bilous earned his first World Cup medal in August 2018 when he finished in third place at the Winter Games NZ Big Air. In 2021, Finn finished in 7th place at the Freeski Slopestyle World Cup in Silvaplana. At the 2019 Ski World Championships, Finn finished in 5th place in freeski big air and at the 2021 Ski World Championships, he finished 9th in freeski slopestyle.

Bilous also competed at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 2016, where he was the New Zealand flagbearer. At the event, he won New Zealand's first ever Winter Youth Olympic Games medal with a silver in the halfpipe and then backed this up with bronze in the slopestyle.

His hometown is Wanaka and he is coached by Snow Sports NZ High Performance Freeski Coach Hamish McDougall.

When he isn’t training you can find Bilous shredding powder, running, mountain biking and surfing.
