Jake Robertson SR

Biography

Jake represented New Zealand in 5,000m and 10,000m at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014 finishing ninth and seventh respectively. He also completed that double at the 2013 World Championships.

Jake has had two major victories over the half marathon distance winning in Lisbon in 2017 and Houston 2018, recording 60:01 on both occasions.

Jake is the fourth fastest New Zealander over 5000m and 10,000m and the second fastest over the half marathon behind his twin brother Zane.

His first New Zealand appearance was at the 2005 World Youth Championships and he has represented New Zealand at the 2011 World Cross Country Championships, 2011 and 2013 World Championships, and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Jake and his twin brother Zane left New Zealand as 17 year olds to live and train in Kenya.

Jake is a member of Hamilton City Hawks Athletics.
