Biography

Kate is a remarkable athlete who will compete in her third Commonwealth Games, all in different sports.

She won a world championship (and Halberg Sportswoman of the Year) in mountain running in 2005 before moving to track and field. She placed fifth in the 3000m steeplechase at the Melbourne Games in 2006 before a move to triathlon.

Injury cost her a spot in the 2008 Olympics but she was 10th at London in 2012 and 12th in this discipline in Glasgow.

Kate converted to road cycling, finishing on the podium at the national championships in 2017 and 2018 and earning a place on the Australian-based Specialized pro team.
