Biography

Tara is one of a strong contingent of players developed in the Manawatu region. An inside forward, she is recognised for her ball retention and slick stick work. Tara debuted for NZ in 2002 and has since consolidated her position in the Black Sticks team with consistent performances. Tara has played over 110 test matches for New Zealand and the Beijing Olympics will be her second Olympic Games. Tara lives in Palmerston North and plays for the Central Mysticks in the New Zealand Hockey League.
