The 23rd Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2026, marking the city’s second time hosting the event, after the 2014 Games.
Building on the legacy of the previous Games, Glasgow plans to use this opportunity to further enhance local infrastructure, with many venues from 2014 being repurposed to encourage sports participation across Scotland and the wider Commonwealth.
Sustainability, inclusivity, and community engagement will be at the core of the planning and execution of the Games, with efforts focused on minimising environmental impact and ensuring lasting positive effects on local communities.
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, August 2, 2026.
