Commonwealth Games
23 July 2026 to 2 August 2026
The 23rd edition of the Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow 2026 in Scotland. This will mark the second time Glasgow has hosted the Commonwealth Games, the first being in 2014.
Glasgow aims to build on the legacy of its 2014 Games, using the event to further enhance local infrastructure and using many of the same venues from 2014, to promote sports participation across Scotland and the broader Commonwealth.
In the lead-up to 2026, there is an emphasis on sustainability, inclusivity, and community engagement. This will be reflected in both the planning and delivery of the Games, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and ensuring a lasting positive impact on local communities.
