Saffi Vette took on the waves of Teahupo'o completing her heat in second with a score of 7.50. She will move through to the next round
In Tahiti, Billy Stairmand has completed his heat - finishing third with a score of 5.53. The result sees him move through to the next round in search of finding some better waves.
A great performance from Erika Fairweather in the Women's 400m Freestyle final, narrowly missing out on a medal with a swim of 4:01.12 to take a fourth place finish.
"Obviously a little bit gutted to get fourth, nobody wants to be there, but I've done myself proud. That was an Olympic final and I managed to come fourth so I can't complain too much."
The NZ Men have been defeated 4-1 by USA in Marseille. After going down by four, Jesse Randall scored a great goal in the 78th minute to pull one back.

New Zealand have had a tough first half against USA, down 3-0 at the break after goals from Djordje Mihailovic, Walker Zimmerman and Gianluca Busio.
The New Zealand Men have suffered a narrow 3-2 loss to India in their opening match. With the score level 2-2 late in the match, India earned and converted a penalty stroke one minute from fulltime to snatch the result.

The Men's NZ Sevens will play off for fifth place in Paris after defeating Argentina 17-12 in extra time. With the score locked up 12-12 at the end of regulation time, Andrew Knewstubb scored the winner late in the first period of extra time.

The Women's Double Sculls of Brooke Francis and Lucy Spoors have progressed to the semi finals after winning their heat with a time of 6:51.68.
The Men's Double Sculls of Robbie Manson and Jordan Parry have finished second in the their heat (6:16.41) to book a place in the semi finals.
Erika Fairweather and Eve Thomas have both raced in the 400m Freestyle heats. Fairweather won her heat with a time of 4:02.55 while Thomas finished eighth with a time of 4:11.86. The results see Fairweather go through to the final (third overall) while Thomas misses out.
The first of the Kiwis in action at the pool, Hazel Ouwehand has finished fifth in her 100m Butterfly heat with a time of 58.03. The time see her finish 18th overall in the heats.
