Meanwhile the triathletes had their final shakedown in a sprint distance event at Hamburg. In the men Bevan Docherty 11th to be the best of the men, while Kate McIlroy was eighth and Nicky Samuels 15th in the women. In the home base the support team at the Village are preparing for the wave of arrivals this week. The womens hockey team have returned from their final camp in France to key up for their competition next week. Tomorrow the rowers arrive in their satellite village at Eton Dorney near Windsor while the swimming team arrive in the village from their final preparation camp in Belgium. There are a wave of other arrivals due in the next two days including weightlifting, sailing, cycling, judo, equestrian, tennis and shooting.
