New Zealand’s U23 football team is acclimatising to Samoa ahead of it’s game against Tonga on Monday (July 8th).

“We’re expecting a really physical game,” said three time All White Logan Rogerson.

“Conditions will be difficult but that’s what you get in the islands and we came here knowing that.

“We have to have a positive mindset, no excuses and just roll with the punches.”

The 21-year-old says the team is gelling well and adjusting to the 30-degree heat.

“Training’s been different, its much warmer drier than Auckland but the boys are getting used to conditions here.

“It was our last training today (July 6th) so it should prepare us well for the game on Monday.”

Kickoff against Tonga is at 4PM.
