Seasoned New Zealand swimming representative Glenn Snyders bowed out of the Olympic 100m breaststroke in the semi-finals tonight.
Snyders, 28, is attending his third Olympic Games and had hopes of making the 100m final.
However, after barely squeezing into the semi-finals with a 16th equal fastest qualifying time of 1min 00.26s, he was unable to produce the effort he needed.
Snyders has a personal best of 59.78s, recorded several years ago, but in his semi-final could manage just 1min 00.50s, which placed him 15th overall.
