Glenn Snyders finished seventh in his Olympic mens 200m breaststroke semi-final this evening. The North Shore man broke his New Zealand record when he swam 2min 10.55s in his morning heat, but was unable to match that form in his semi-final. He was timed at 2min 11.14s, which placed him 14th among the 16 semi-finalists. Snyders has had a successful Olympics he broke his national record in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke and reached the semi-finals in both events.
