Christchurch youngster Courtney McGregor dipped her toe into the world of Olympic Games gymnastics when she competed in the women’s all-round artistic competition today.
McGregor, just 17, had a mixed day, but showed enough ability to give her confidence to aim higher in her sport. She finished 41st of the 68 who started the competition.
McGregor’s marks were 14.666 and 14.000 on the vault for an average of 14.333, 12.433 on the uneven bars, 13.000 on the beam and 13.066 on the floor exercises for a total of 53.165.
