Beijing 2022 will be Alice Robinson’s second Olympic Winter Games.
The Queenstown based alpine ski racer has been selected to compete in Giant Slalom in Beijing.
Robinson has finished on the podium at five prestigious World Cup Giant Slalom races since March 2019, including three wins.
She stunned the ski racing world when she won her first World Cup, the Sölden (AUT) season opener in 2019 at just 17 years old, the youngest woman from any nation to win at Sölden and New Zealand’s first alpine World Cup win since 1997.
Alice has continued to succeed on the World Cup circuit, wrapping up her 2020/21 season with a win at the World Cup Giant Slalom finals in Lenzerheide (SUI) in March 2021.
Alice finished in 35th position in Giant Slalom in PyeongChang 2018, where she was New Zealand’s youngest ever Winter Olympian.
Alice is coached by Chris Knight and Jeff Fergus from the International Ski Racing Academy and trains at Coronet Peak, Queenstown.
