Allan Horan

Allan Horan (known as Jack Horan)

Born in Te Awamutu, Jack's family relocated to Tauranga where he attended Otumoetai College. It was during his college years that Jack starting his rowing career with his first podium in the U18 coxed four at the Maadi Cup in 1977.

After finishing college Jack returned to live in Te Awamutu and joined the Waikato Rowing club based at Lake Karapiro. 

Jack was a member of the coxed pair that represented New Zealand at the Los Angeles1984 Olympic Games placing 7th.

Retiring from active competition in 1986, Jack relocated to Cambridge where he continues to reside.
