Biography

Bob was born in Auckland in 1934 and started his rowing career with the Mercer Rowing Club.

Selected for the Vancouver 1954 Commonwealth Games, the pair of Bob and Reg took the Gold medal in the Coxless Pair and Silver in the Double Skull.

Two years on, this duo competed at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games, placing 3rd in their semi-final of the Coxless pair to finish the event in 5th place.

In 1958, Bob again teamed up with Reg to compete at the Cardiff 1958 Commonwealth Games and again took home the Gold medal.
