Brian M Maunsell

Brian Martin Maunsell participated in the men's light welterweight category during the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo. 

Representing St Anne’s Boxing Club in Woolston, Christchurch, he was coached by his father Martin and assisted by Ron Mitchell. Maunsell secured the light welterweight title at the New Zealand national boxing championships on four occasions: 1957, 1959, 1960, and 1963.

 Following his Olympic appearance, Maunsell transitioned to professional boxing, competing in the lightweight division. From July 1965 to May 1966, he achieved a notable record of six victories in seven bouts.
