Biography

Chris Nicholson belongs to one of the most distinguished groups of New Zealand athletes, a three time Olympian having attending both a Summer and Winter Olympics in the same year.

Chris has represented New Zealand at both Albertville Winter and Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992 then went on to compete again two years later at the Lillehammer 1994 Winter Olympic Games.

Cyclist/Cross Country Skier Madonna Harris is the only other New Zealander to achieve the feat, competing at Calgary and Seoul in the 1988 and Madonna went on to compete at the Auckland 1990 Commonwealth Games.

Chris was the New Zealand Flagbearer at the Albertville 1992 Winter Olympics. His brother Andrew Nicholson (also a three-time Olympian) competing in Short Track Skiing at Albertville 1992, Lillehammer 1994 and Nagano 1998 Winter Olympic Games.
