Event: Women’s Double Scull

Hannah Osborne is an Olympic silver medallist, placing second in the women’s double scull event alongside boatmate Brooke Donoghue at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Racing in hot conditions at Tokyo’s Sea Forrest Waterway Osborne and Donoghue finished second behind Romania in a time of 6m 44.82s to claim silver.

Tokyo was Osborne’s debut Olympic Games. Prior to the Games she spent two years as the New Zealand single sculler, before being a senior member of the 2019 quadruple sculls, which finished in 5th place at the World Championships.

She began her rowing career at Te Awamutu Rowing Club before moving to Cambridge to start her high-performance journey. She has an Irish setter named Pippa, is studying environmental planning, and occasionally goes back to work on the family farm.

The women’s double is coached by James Coote.
